Safeguarding
At Kelvedon Hatch Community Primary School and in the wider Discovery Educational Trust, we place a very high importance on safeguarding children. It is the number one priority that will always be at the forefront of everything we do.
Safeguarding children is defined in Working Together to Safeguard Children and Keeping Children Safe in Education as:
- Protecting children from maltreatment;
- Preventing impairment of children’s mental and physical health or development;
- Ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care;
- Taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes.
