Admissions Policy and Criteria for Academic Year 2026/27 – For Consultation

Kelvedon Hatch Community Primary School is proposing to make two changes to its Admission Arrangements for Academic Year 2026/27. The first change provides more clarity around the definition of a sibling as it relates to admissions and also requires that all siblings must live at the same home address as the applicant child. The second change is to Waiting List wording, which now advises that the Waiting Lists will only remain open until the end of the academic year. If parents/carers wish for their child to remain on the Waiting List, they must contact Kelvedon Hatch Community Primary School to confirm. Without such confirmation, the child’s name will be removed at the end of the academic year.

The statutory consultation period is open for eight weeks from Thursday 24 October 2024 and will close on Thursday 19 December 2024.

We are interested to hear the views of parents/carers and the local community. If you would like to comment on the admission arrangements please contact the school office via: office@kelvedonhatch.essex.sch.uk or in writing by post by Thursday 19 December 2024.
